Hands down, the best Peruvian food I've ever had and we've tried plenty of places. I even say it's better than Mario's in LA.
We've tried the tallarin saltado de carne, actually all their tallarin we love!, ceviches de marisocos, chicharron de calamares, lomito montado estilo.
Their menu goes on. They just have so many items to choose from. The staff is always on top of it. They truly make you feel welcome.
If you do take out, they prep everything for you without having to ask for utensils and sauces. That's my pet peeve about ordering togo from restaurants, when they forget items that would normally come with the order and it isn't there.
We will always come back to Mamitas! We live like 5 miles away and we're so happy it's close by! -

I've been here before but forgot until I got here again. I remember the 1st time I came here was when I first got back from my Peru trip. I also remember the food being good but it didn't stand out. Meaning I'll come back if I was in the area but not purposefully to get Peruvian food here.
This time, the food tasted better. Could it be that I forgot how Peruvian food taste since I haven't been to Peru in a few years? Or that they changed owners or cooks/chefs and got better?
Anyhow, I'd be back if I was craving Peruvian food.
Customer Service was friendly, but not attentive. The guys were nice but we had to wave them down for everything.
Parking is lacking... No structure parking that I saw. Mostly street parking. -

This is a great place and a hidden gem! The Ceviche Mixto was a good portion to share. I had ordered the Mar Y Tierra (camaron/Carne), I wanted to try a bit of everything but went with this choice as my main course. I had finished the whole plate because it was delicious.
I would definitely go back to try many of the other options that they have on the menu. I recommend people to try many of the desserts that they have. The desserts blew my mind and you can tell they put a lot of time into making very good quality desserts. -

Super cute little Peruvian Restaurant hidden amongst a sea of car dealerships. Great place for a date night or dinner with friends. I have never tried Peruvian food before, and it was pretty epic.
First off, the spicy sauce with the bread was amazing. I put it on everything. I love spice, so I didn't notice that it was burning my bud's mouth; be wary if you're less tolerant and probably don't just pour it all over the shared foods. ;)
We got the Lomito Montado Estilo Mamitas, which is basically Lomo Saltado with egg and some frills. Absolutely worth the difference. Every bite was delicious and perfectly balanced.
We couldn't decide on the other entree and asked for recommendations - the server suggested we balance out the meal with a different kind of dish. Knowing that we did NOT want noodles, we asked for something that came with rice. He suggested Pollo Sudado al Vino, which turned out to be incredible as well.
Also splurged and got horchata, but could've passed on this one. I definitely prefer my horchata homemade from the lady with the cooler.
Service was quick and minimal - no need to constantly come over, but food got there in a timely manner, as did refills. Definitely not a place where the server chats you up, and I LOVE that.
Overall, a really, really good meal. The only annoying thing is that I asked the server how large the portions were and he said that each one was definitely only big enough for one person... well, I guess if you're a typical American, it would be! The two entrees were HUGE; we stuffed our faces and had enough to justify two takeout boxes. Upsold, but worth it. -

We've been coming here for years. About 25 years to be exact.
It used to be the only Peruvian spot for miles but now there's 3 in Glendale.
The last few times it's felt like quality hasn't been a top priority.
Let's start from the top.
Small location so be prepared to wait during peak times. They do have a valet but drive around the block and see if you can find some street parking and save a few bucks. Not much to do before and after dinner. It's all car dealerships nearby.
The bread and spicy green cilantro sauce is amazing.
The food was lacking.
Had the lomo saltado, shrimp fried rice and the camarones al ajo.
Stead was a little tough. Slightly overlooked. The mix was tasty but still lacked a little flavor. Portion size was just ok for the price. 3/5
Both shrimp dishes were disappointing. Shrimp was old. It wasn't fresh and crisp with that snap you get with just cooked shrimp. The shrimp was mushy and pasty. Asked the server and I was told that's how it was... funny since we've gotten both fishers several times before. The garlic shrimp was tasty. And the rice alone was pretty good.
Overall it was ok. Nothing amazing and mother terrible.
